Director General’s Biography

Len Even is the Director General and Chief Executive of Marianopolis College in Montreal, Canada. Marianopolis is Quebec’s premier private English-language college, with 2,000 full-time students from all parts of Greater Montreal and throughout the province. Director General Even, who speaks five languages, leads a team of 85 administrative staff and 140 faculty.

Founded in 1908 by the Congrégation de Notre-Dame, Marianopolis boasts an unparalleled track record of preparing highly motivated students for the world’s top universities. Named Director General effective July 1, 2009, Even is the College’s first leader who is not a member of the Congregation. Under his leadership, Marianopolis has embarked on its second century as a forward-thinking, action-oriented institution. With students from English and French, public and private high schools, Marianopolis reflects the globalism and vibrancy of the multi-cultural city of Montreal and the world at large. Director General Even has instituted the Director General’s Merit Scholarships — full tuition for 20 students each year, in addition to other financial aid offered. Based on his long-held belief that happy individuals are more productive, he supports endeavors that educate students both in the classroom and beyond, as well as a workplace environment that supports employees.

Born in Quebec City, Director General Even was raised and educated in Montreal. An MBA graduate of McGill University (1988), he worked as a commercial lender with the Royal Bank of Canada, helping small- and medium-sized companies with advice and financing. He moved to the Netherlands and joined Webster University, first as the business manager, then as a faculty member, and from 1995-2009 as Director. Webster University, based in St. Louis, Missouri, is a private U.S. university with over 100 locations in 10 countries and is the largest graduate business school in the United States. Under his leadership, Webster University in the Netherlands tripled its revenue, added an Amsterdam campus, became locally accredited, purchased its historic location, added a 50-room dormitory and became a highly ranked university. Even also spearheaded new worldwide programs, such as a Global MBA and a Global MA in International Relations.

Director General Even is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Private Colleges of Quebec and was a member of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands. He coaches hockey, is married to Bianca Roberti and together they have four children.
